Victory In Christ

“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:55-57

What greater words are there than this? Death has not defeated Him. And because of this, we have victory in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior!

If these verses do not make you want to jump and shout for joy there is something wrong with your heart. We cannot understand or comprehend the depths of our sin. We cannot understand the punishment that we deserve for what we have done. We cannot understand the greatness of what Christ accomplished on the cross. And we don’t have to understand it. We just have to believe it.

The riches of God’s mercy and grace are never-ending. His mercies are new every single day. The power is real. The victory is real. The joy is possible. The peace is comforting. All achieved through Christ.

He gave everything for us. He was beaten, tortured, and killed. But death had no victory over Him! Death could not keep Him in the grave! HE IS RISEN! He is alive! He is seated at the right hand of the Father. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is our God.
