The Catholic Church Is Not A Christian Church

This week, Pope Francis proclaimed that all religions lead to God. However this could not be further from the truth.

Jesus made quite clear in John 14:6 that He is the way, He is the Truth, and He is the light, and that no man comes to the Father except through Him. It does not get any clearer than that.

Yet the Catholic Church now has a leader saying the exact opposite of what Christ has said. It is the exact opposite of what is taught in Scripture. This is heresy.

The Romans Catholic Church has been mired in heresy for centuries. They worship Mary as a godlike figure. They pray to her for the forgiveness of sins. They believe that she was sinless. This is all heresy.

In the 16th Century they were selling indulgences as a way to shorten purgatory for the dead. First, the church has no authority over the dead. That is for God and God alone. Second, there is no such thing as purgatory. You don’t get a second chance after death.

These are just a few examples of the heresies of the Roman Catholic Church. There are many more. The truth is, Rome left Biblical Fidelity over 1,000 years ago and they have never looked back. They want power and control. The papacy itself is a heresy. The Bible gives no authority to a single man to rule over the church. Nor does it give that man the power to speak on behalf of God. This is all heresy.

The bottom line is this, the Roman Catholic Church is not a Christian church. If you are a true Christian in a Roman Catholic Church you should run and run fast. Run to a church that actually believes what Jesus said. Run to a church that actually preaches the Word of God and not the words of man. Run to a church that follows Christ and Christ alone.
