Abortion at the DNC

This week was hard. It was hard because for a majority of the week we saw Democrats at their national convention demand and celebrate the “right” to kill babies. Planned Parenthood even setup shop right there at the convention itself. They proclaimed their right to kill babies under the code words “reproductive freedom,” “bodily autonomy,” and “women’s healthcare.” It was sickening.

The country has a problem. We do not respect human life. Even the Republican Party has softened its stance on abortion with their 2024 platform. Somehow, the culture has this idea that babies do not matter. They are “inconvenient” and need to be dealt with.

But here is the problem. Babies do matter. Life matters. And each life is precious in the sight of God because we are all made in His Image. (Genesis 1:27)

But this week it was made clear, crystal clear, that life does not matter. The only thing that matters to this world is personal “freedom” and convenience. I will do what is “right for me” and the rest doesn’t matter.

The world has hardened their hearts against truth and against God. Not that this should be any surprise to us. We know the wicked hate the light because their evil works will be exposed. (John 3:20)

Christians need to continue to speak up for the truth. We need to continue to speak agains the lies of the world that celebrate the murder of babies and dismiss it as nothing more than a personal choice. God help our wicked country.
